As my lovely Glaswegian boy would say.Yes last night was a decadent one - Friday night is the only night I drink and the only one of 2 nights I see my lovely boyfriend without either of us having to rush out for work early the next morning. As he'd just been paid,my lovely man brought over a bottle of Champagne....................my spanish cava paled in comparison.

Nonetheless,Champagne with raspberries was enjoyed and before we knew it the bottle of cava was opened :D Cue sore head today.I was going to do my 'hip hop aerobic' DVD this morning, but alas,it shall have to wait till this evening.(And yes,I had saved some points and had some bonus exercise points saved for the Friday night indulgence)

Paris Hilton and egg white omelettes.UGH!

What a vacous tool! She's in town promoting her 'find a British best friend' tv show and honestly, all the interviews I've seen of her are like pulling teeth. The girl is truly an air head! Or a terribly good actress, putting on a dumb blonde act (no offence to blondes,my best mate is blonde and a very intelligent teacher :) All she's famous for is being famous, and my god,the girls is SKINNY !

When will this madness of worshipping at the temple of thin ever end? Stick her next to the Monroe and see what people find sexy.Size 14 will be fine by me :D

I have been seeing a lot of posts about egg white omelettes, but I am sorry,no matter how desperate I am to lose weight, there is no way I will eat an egg white omelette - that is just bordering on madness in my book.Food should be pleasure, even when on a 'diet'.Pure, unadulterated pleasure, and that includes eggs, thank you very much!

On that note,heres todays menu.................

B:2 medium eggs 2.5
3 slices toast 2
1/8 pint S.skim milk 0.5

L: Steamed chicken breast 2.5

On track babeeeeee!

I am being so virtuous I deserve a halo and a set of wings.I have been planning my meals religiously and eating fruit likes it's going out of fashion.I'd better lose weight this week! Here's what was on the menu today.............

Breakfast: Big bowl Special K Creamy Berry Bliss and Semi skimmed milk

Lunch: 4 slices WW bread,Light philadelphia cheese with garlic and herbs and Wafer thin ham.
Quarter of a pineapple,2 kiwi fruits.

Dinner: WW ham and pineapple pizza oval, homemade wedges
Crunchie (yes,I still manage my chocolate fix)

Snacks: Cheese snack a jacks
Apple
2 clementines
Go ahead tropical yogurt breaks

Seems like a hell of a lot of food, but this time round it's the RIGHT food and healthy choices.I definitely am a snacking girl, and I have noticed that coz I'm eating proper, square meals and lots of fruit and veg,I've not really been snacking much.

Today is the exception though, because I was working from 3:30 - 8:30PM.Taking in travel time it's 2:30 - 9:00PM,so I do need a wee something to sustain me then.

Managed a wee jaunt on the treadmill.2 wee 7 minute walks. It's all I could manage as I am desperately unfit and asthmatic.I am seeing all these amazing posts about people jogging and doing miles and miles on the treadmill, but I am going to stop comparing myself to them and go at my own pace. After all,any activity is better than nothing and this is only the beginning.Watch this space...............................

Recipe and First Official Post

My Dad's a chef and I'm of Indonesian - German stock, both of which are peoples that absolutely ADORE their food.Unfortunately,I got the Indo appetite and height and the German build and metabolism........my sister got the Indo metabolism and build - and the German height.Oh well,I shouldn't torture myself because she IS 7 years younger than me too,so she has youth on her side ;P

Anyways,I digress.I absolutely adore baking and cooking,I fancy myself as a bit of a Nigella,in fact I think I could give her a run for her money, which is probably why I'm this size! No more though! I bought my last pair of size 22 jeans on Thursday.

So obviously I am following WW,where 'no food is forbidden',so it's a matter of trying to marry the two together...........incorporating my love of cooking and baking with low fat eating. So here is my first foray into low fat baking.I nearly cried when I realised there would be no butter. No butter in baking! Sacrilidge in my book, but I perservered and my efforts paid off these are DELISH! And only 2.5 per generously (and normal :) sized muffin..................

Banana and Malteser Muffins (adapted from a WW recipe)

200g flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
100g light brown/muscavado sugar
75g Maltesers crushed/chopped in half/whole - however you want them (I chopped mine in half)

1 medium egg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
100ml semi skimmed milk
1 banana mashed
50 g low fat spread,melted

Simply sift the dry ingredients into one bowl.

Mix all the wet ingredients in a jug, making sure the egg is beaten.

Pour the wet into the dry ingredients and mix - being careful not to overmix or the muffins will be chewy and not fluffy.

Spoon the batter into a standard 12 hole muffin pan (Should fill them generously) and bake at 180 degrees for 10 - 15 mins depending on your oven.

DELISH! 12 very generous muffins at only 2.5 points each :D

And by the way, these are whipped up in about 10 minutes :D Bonus!

Why a pin up girl?

Let me introduce myself and the concept of a pin up girl................no,no,I don't mean one of those sleazy Page 3 girls or Nuts cover girls,Lads Mags etc.I mean those simply DIVINE,classy pin up girls of the 40's and 50's,especially the devastatingly beautiful Vargas girls.Gorgeous hourglass curves in all the right places and cute and classy dresses.

YES I want to lose weight,NO I don't want to be a skinny minnie.I would be very happy to be a size 14.I know I have a lovely hourglass figure buried underneath and boobs most girls (guys) would kill for :D

Now,as for me,well I'm GlasgowGalah from the WW 5+ boards.A soon to be 29 year old Aussie girl living in Glasgow for the last 5 years.I've always been a curvaceous lass, but have really piled on the weight since a total change of lifestyle and diet.No more walks in the national park and swimming at the beach, everything is soooooo limited by this da#*n weather!

However,I have decided enough is enough and I am going to be 30 in a year and immigrating back to Oz with my lovely Scotsman so here we go on this journey.....................
